The Newhaven Library of Things stocks all sorts of items, from tea-urns to tents and from sewing machines to saws.
We want to help you have access to all sorts of helpful household things without having to buy them, just to store them in a cupboard for most of the year.
Join the Library and you’ll be able to borrow and use a wealth of goods without paying through the nose, or costing the earth.
Save Money – no need to buy costly things that you rarely use.
Save Space – no need to find storage for all that stuff.
Save the environment – less stuff bought means less waste and pollution.

- Fill out a membership application online or in person at an event
- Show ID and proof of address
Borrow a thing
To borrow a thing, book it out online at:
newhavengreencentre.myturn.com/library/
Pick it up from one of our events (see below).
NB – A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to borrow an item.
Use it for a week, two weeks, or any booked time.
Bring it back to one of the event spaces or stalls.
