Newhaven Green Centre CIC is a newly formed organisation aiming to make it easy for people to live ‘greener’ lifestyles and save money at the same time.

It was founded by Newhaven residents keen to reduce waste by reuse and recycling, and reduce consumption by encouraging sharing.

Our projects include a Library of Things, a Repair Cafe, Bring & Take Tables, also Information about how to reuse and recycle items which aren’t accepted in the Council’s kerbside recycling collection.

Newhaven Green Centre on YouTube

Newhaven Green Centre has now set up its very own YouTube channel! You can keep in touch with news, views & more at https://www.youtube.com/@NewhavenGreenCentre.

And of course you can still find us on Facebook & Instagram, and speak to us the old fashioned way at any of our stalls & events around Newhaven.

Library of Things

Why buy when you can borrow?
The Newhaven Library of Things stocks all sorts of items. Join the Library for free and you’ll be able to borrow and use a wealth of goods including basic tools, camping and catering equipment.

Repair Cafe

Bring your broken household items to our panel of experts to see if they can fix them for free at the Repair Cafe.  You’re also welcome to drop in to chat, enjoy free tea and cake and you may even learn some repair skills too.

Recyling

Kerbside recycling is great, but there are some things that you can’t put in it, at our stalls you can find out information about things you can recycle which the council doorstep collection doesn’t take.

Bring & Take Table

Bring useful things you don’t want and take some things away.
Do you have any items to swap?
